Light Within the Darkness 2018.Oil on canvas | Clearing the EnergyI painted this after a difficult day that resulted in an argument, which was upsetting. When the argument had finished I got up went to my easel this is what I created, it felt like it came out of nowhere. When I looked up the meaning of Buzzards in Shamanism I found that like Vultures, Buzzards will eat the entire caucus of an animal, symbolising the clearing of energy, especially after an argument!
So I would like to say a big thank you Buzzard! | Feeling the Way Forward ThroughCloudThis piece is inspired by the teachings of our great mammals of land and sea. The Whale and the Elephant are wise creatures that traverse their habitats via vibration and sound, feeling their way through life in the knowing they will get to where they need to go.
A lesson from these great, wise creatures is in the importance of matching our vibrational frequency with our desires and learning to feel our way through the cloudy chaos of modern life. |

The Unfolding Fires of Life, 2018This painting is inspired by the idea of rebirth from the old, moving forwards into a new state of being. By leaving behind old ways that no longer serve us, we can transform with renewed spirit and life for the next the next chapter. | Rising ConciousnessOil on Canvas, 2017 | The CallingOil on canvas, 2016 |

Golden Breeze Oil on canvas 2017 | Awakening, Oil on Canvas, 2017A depiction of a meditation , a blissful, euphoric feeling of stillness and light. Paradise. | From Darkness Comes Light, TrypticThis piece is Inspired by the miracle that is life and the light that is formed within the darkness.
As I grow my first child inside of me I am awe stuck by the magical experience of creation and the development of life going on inside me as I go about my life. |

From Darkness Comes Light, TrypticWithin this triptych I wanted to try and capture the wondrous spark of life that occurs when the sperm meets the egg and the journey that arrises from this moment. | From Darkness Comes Light, TrypticIt has been discovered over recent years that a bright flash of light occurs when the sperm enters the egg, leading to a surge of calcium which triggers the egg to release zinc. As the zinc shoots out, it binds to small molecules which emit a fluorescence light. MAGIC. | Tearing Away the Layers, 2015This piece was a literal stripping back of layers for me, it was a cathartic peeling away of my current 'reality' to find my next series of work. I had come to the end of my last series of work, I painted to music until I got caught up in the moment, lost in time and moving freely.
I enjoy this painting for its expressive qualities, it flows with the movement and the energy which I used to created it.
I used muted pastel colours for this is a calm and easy piece. Its reminiscent of late summer |

Reflections of Flow 2, 2017This is another observation of flow in nature, I am constantly inspired by Taoist philosophy of life and through this I am finding deep inspiration in the simplicity of natures lessons and what they can teach us about our own ability to live more harmoniously through connecting to our own inner flow.
Reflections in the river at Durweston Mill in Dorset. | Reflections of Flow, 2017I have been looking at flow in nature. Through observing these continuous systems of flow in nature we can learn a lot about are own need and ability to harness states of natural flow.
I was inspired by this quote from Lao-tse in the Tao Te Ching:
Nothing in the world is more yielding and gentle than water. Yet it has no equal for conquering the resistant and tough. The flexible can overcome the unbending; the soft can overcome the hard. | TransformationOil on canvas, 2017 |

Nature does not hurry, yet everything is accomplished.
Lao Tze
"Because we are all interconnected, living with one another means getting to know one another’s stories. It means understanding one another not just on the surface, but from the inside out. That means listening with an ear of love tuned to nothing less that beauty. It means listening for truth, including the tough truth that always flows from stories that require confession, forgiveness and redemption. And what is this ‘past’ that is the stuff of story but a wave on eternity’s ocean. And what are we today but its surf tossed leading edge. That is a thrilling place in which to be alive!"
Soil to Soul, Alister Mackintosh
